Not Much Longer Now

In less than two weeks I will be an auntie again as Michelle will be pushing yet another little one out into the world. She has opted for the Birthing Centre where she can relax in the pool, get a massage and a pedicure all while the baby gently eases out with the help of coconut oil. The birthing centre also offers a comprehensive family integration package so that little Ocean will not become traumatized by the events unfolding. Lest he doubts the autheticity of his new sibling he is afforded front row seats and to make sure he's prepared he's already gone through course BB 010 Where do Babies come from?, Ocean is at the top of his class with the answer "Mommy's Poke-Poke." When asked the advanced question "what sound will mommy make when the baby comes out?", he squishes up his face and makes an exemplary constipation imitation. We're all set down here-it's not much longer now.

Welcomed to the World of Scholarship

It seems I may be earning my first stripe in the scholarly world having been asked to present a paper at an International Woman's day seminar(infront of big-up clergy might I add). It would also seem that I am officially labled a radical feminist theologian. Soon I'll be defending my sexual orientation as I will be branded a man eating lesbian. Watch out World.

Please stop the war so I can go on vacation!

I really want to go on a pilgrimage to the holy land.
I mean this literally and in all sincerity.
I want to ride camels with caravans through the desert at night and sleep in the cradle of civilization. I want to touch the ground where great (wo)men walked and find the holes to the underworld. Isreal, the Jordan, Palestine, Iraq that's where I want to be. Beisdes all this talk about oil and high civilian death toll my qualm with the war is personal. Bush and the boys are blocking my dream vacation.
